Introducing Queen Mary Jane, a 24x36" acrylic on canvas commission for a special woman, who loves nature as much as I do. This concept was inspired by feminine energy combined with a deep love and respect for nature. This energy comes from being all that you are, trusting yourself, loving yourself, comforting yourself and being bold, brave and true to yourself.
I have come to realize I feel most at home surrounded by nature. Breathing clean air, touching the textures of nature, being humbled by and connected to the earth helps us define why we are here. Women have raw, natural strength within and can also be powerful forces of nature.
Have you heard of the divine feminine? There is an unmistakable creative power in the feminine that can lead to making a difference, creating meaning and bringing light into the world. Their personal journeys, missions to spread generosity and love, uplift and take care of the people around them, inspire me. The support and togetherness of the women in my life have definitely played an important role in helping me arrive to where I am today. Even a small group of friends can be the cure many of your troubles. We are more powerful together. I wanted to create a painting that was as captivating as powerful nature and women can be.

Working on this painting with a female friend made me feel as though we were harnessing our queen energy together. It was a great pleasure to create this for Janna, one of my favourite pieces yet. So my parting message to you from this painting, when you look at her, is to feel strong and confident, and to remember to stick together, support one another and remind each other that when life becomes challenging, you sometimes just need to remember who you are, straighten your crown, and move forward like the queen you are.
