The Grizzly bear is one of North America's largest animals, a powerful creation of the natural world. Seeing a Grizzly bear could be the most exciting - or terrifying - moment of a person's life. I wanted this painting to do the impressive, larger-than-life animal justice. I wanted us to feel the wildness and sheer power of an animal like this. The bright colours applied assisted in grabbing attention, just like I imagine seeing one of these grizzly bears in real life would arrest you. I hope that when you look at this painting, you are in as much awe of this animal as I am. I encourage you to continue learning about grizzly bears, starting with the blog post. Perhaps, if we're lucky - and a very safe distance away - one day we may get to see one with our own eyes.
